History

The Institute of Food Science and Technology Córdoba (ICYTAC) began its operations in August 2012 as an implementation unit depending on both the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET) and the National University of Córdoba (through the School of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences, the School of Chemical Sciences, the School of Agricultural Sciences and the Secretary of Science and Technology).

Since its founding, ICYTAC has promoted a fluid relationship between researchers from diverse fields like biology, engineering, chemistry, and nutrition. We firmly believe that a shared research space fosters the development of complementary knowledge across different groups, enabling collaborative use of laboratories and instruments, and encouraging a vibrant exchange of scientific expertise and perspectives. This collaborative environment will nurture the development of top-tier professionals with a more comprehensive and holistic understanding of the challenges posed by food science and technology.

In terms of academic and professional education, ICYTAC has been the space where researchers have managed to complete:

Postdoctoral programs

Doctoral programs
